Lambretta and Teenage Cancer Trust TCT have managed to raise more than 3,900 thanks to the sale of some exclusive rock memorabilia – sought after items from Britain’s ultimate rock band, The Who. Featuring the signatures of Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, the pieces were sold via a unique eBay auction to help raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust specialist treatment centres nationwide.
Up for sale were three items, a signed Who Quadrophenia parka 1,220, a signed Who framed picture 2,550 and a limited edition camoufl age Who parka 155. Simon Davies, Chief Executive of Teenage Cancer Trust, says, "Our thanks go to Lambretta for their support and the funds they have raised for Teenage Cancer Trust. Six teenagers are diagnosed with cancer every day, that’s over 2000 each year - this money will help us to ensure that every one of these young people has access to a specialised treatment centre."
Lambretta’s Managing Director Robert Harmer added, "We are really pleased with the fantastic reaction we had to our eBay charity auction in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. We are glad to be able to help such a worthwhile cause and would like to extend our thanks everyone involved, particularly the winning bidders"
