Speedo welcomes back and congratulates the inspiring feats of the Team GB Paralympic swimmers on their return from the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. The team amassed 41 medals in the pool, making a significant contribution to a highly successful overall team effort at this year’s Games.

Speedo supports swimmers at all levels, from grassroots right up to elite level. We are sure the performance of the Team GB Paralympians will inspire others around the UK to get into the pool and experience the fun and benefits of regular swimming for both competition and fitness, regardless of their ability. Swimmers like David Roberts, Sacha Kindred, Samuel Hynd and13-year old Ellie Simmonds who all claimed gold, live by this maxim.

Looking forward to the 2012 London Paralympic Games, we expect Team GB to build on this outstanding performance, claiming more gold and generating even more pride in their success and determination.
