Swim ambassador, Rebecca Adlington, will be making a
personal appearance in the sports department on the ground
floor of John Lewis Trafford on Saturday 12th March from 1pm

Double Olympic gold swimming medallist and Speedo Learn To Swim ambassador, Rebecca Adlington, will be making a personal appearance in the sports department on the ground floor of John Lewis Trafford on Saturday 12th March from 1pm -3pm.
The visit coincides with the conclusion of the British Gas Swimming Championships 2011 which is taking place at Manchester Aquatic Centre from 5th -12th March 2011 in which Rebecca will be competing as part of her build-up to London 2012.
Joining Rebecca in-store will be Speedo’s Sea Squad mascots, who aim to encourage more children to learn to swim and build water confidence. Speedo’;s Learn To Swim range has been divided into three simple stages which help build confidence and get children enjoying the water in no time. The range also includes Sea Squad swimwear, accessories and equipment.
Rebecca is a keen supporter of this initiative and firmly believes all children should have the opportunity to take to the water in a safe and fun way.
"Learning how to swim enables kids to feel confident in the water and opens the door to a range of other water sports".
During her time at John Lewis Trafford, Rebecca will be having her photo taken with fans and signings autographs. She is also taking part in a Q&A session with members of the public, giving her top swim tips, as well as revealing more about Speedo’s Learn To Swim programme.
