MANDMDIRECT.COM'S NICK BEGY APPOINTED TO CATEX ADVISORY BOARD
Nick Begy, Sales and Marketing Director for mandmdirect.com, the UK’s number one online fashion and sports discount retailer, has been elected to the Advisory Board of The Catalogue Exchange. Begy is one of three nominees elected to the board of the organisation, which promotes the interests of British multi-channel businesses.
Begy joined mandmdirect.com in March 2006 and has since overseen the company’s first integrated acquisition programme, tying all elements of the marketing mix together to create synergy across both the catalogue and web sectors of the business.
"I’m passionate about delivering results and creating best practices, not only for mandmdirect.com, but also for the industry as a whole," says Begy. "The Catalogue Exchange provides our industry with a forum for ideas, opinions and actions on which to build our businesses further."
In his new board role, Begy will act as an ambassador for the board, attending meetings, contributing to industry publications, speaking at events, recruiting new members and lobbying on regulatory and other issues affecting the industry.
"I look forward to playing a highly active role for the Advisory Board," says Begy. "The combination of knowledge, experience and ideas contained within the Advisory Board helps the home shopping market immensely, especially as we move towards further splintering of channels available to the end consumer. I anticipate positive change from the start of my tenure on the board."
