Extensive Growth Leads To New Operations Site For mandmdirect.com

Due to its consistent growth, mandmdirect.com, one of the UK’s largest discount fashion, sports and outdoor clothing retailers, is relocating its Operations Division from Leominster to a larger site at nearby Moreton-on-Lugg. The move will take place between May and July 2008.

mandmdirect.com has outgrown its current site in Leominster to the extent that the all-new Moreton-on-Lugg site stands at more than 210,000 square feet. The new operations site will house bulk storage, a goods-in department, and a picking, packing and despatch operation.

The 1m investment in the site is the first major development implemented by mandmdirect.com since being taken over by TA Associates in late 2007. mandmdirect.com CEO Steve Robinson comments: "The new operations site will enable us to more effectively and efficiently handle the growing number of orders we are receiving from our website and catalogue customers. In addition we are able to process more goods coming into mandmdirect.com, which is essential as our quality product offering base also continues to increase rapidly."

The existing mandmdirect.com operations site in Leominster will be redeployed, creating additional space for other company departments, a sample store and the design of a photographic studio to allow for faster product image upload to the website and greater image dynamism, both in print and online.
