Speedo launches Speedo LZR Racer suit inspired performance swimwear range

Following the world record breaking success of the Speedo LZR Racer suit, Speedo is proud to announce the launch of this season’s performance range; the Speedo LZR Racer inspired collection.

Designed for swimmers who want their own piece of the Speedo LZR Racer suit’s cutting edge technology, this is the first performance range by Speedo to take both aesthetic and technological inspiration from the world renowned, championship winning swimsuit.

Core stabiliser technology used in the original suit, worn by the likes of the phenomenal Michael Phelps, has been reworked into one of the key features of the suits within the collection. Its corset-like grip supports and holds the swimmer so they are able to maintain the best body position in the water for longer, without losing freedom or flexibility of movement.

A selection of both male and female swimsuits in the range benefit from bonded seams also used in the original Speedo LZR Racer suit, to give a streamlined silhouette and reduce friction, allowing swimmers to powerfully glide through the water.

The range also incorporates the 100% chlorine–resistant Speedo Endurance+; a fabric which helps the swimwear retain its shape swim after swim and reduces the need for replacement.

Taking aesthetic inspiration from the bold lines and distinctive panels that make the Speedo LZR Racer suit so recognisable, Speedo’s new performance range ensures swimmers will stand out from their competitors, with both its striking appearance on the poolside and its streamlined performance in the water.

The range includes Speedo’s most innovative goggles, the Aquasocket and Sidewinder, which were launched with the Speedo LZR Racer suit in 2008. Also within the exciting new collection are Speedo LZR Racer Inspired caps, towels, bags and an exclusive Speedo LZR Racer Aquabeat® underwater MP3 player.
