The Spring Summer 2009 Kangol Headwear Collection is crafted with a balance of tradition, nature and function. The staple cut and sew story this season is the all-purpose Organic Canvas. Neo Checks take modern woven patterns and present them in fresh styles. The retro Havana Trilby sports a centre creased crown and a ′country club-meets-Vegas’ stingy brim. Print stories are represented by with the argyle of the Sound Check and the dynamic blocking of Colour Washed Linen. Safari Cotton brings rustic luxury to the collection with a soft touch, lightweight twill contrasted with a leather inspired paper-printed fabric.

Timeless straw, the original sun protection, is given a twist with a Two Colour Straw Braid and new Vent Straw. In the Two Colour Straw Braid Colette’s distinctively Kangol shape, the tonal braid stripes of the crown are contrasted by a natural woven straw peak.
