Kangol’s A/W2011 collection centres on innovative techniques whilst utilising traditional craftsmanship and quality materials to produce a modern yet timeless range of fashion headwear. The range, which predominantly utilises natural fibres starts, with classic Kangol’s knitted felted wool, available in shapes including the 507 cap and the sleek Duke Trilby. Soft lambs wool jacquards, pixelated Fairisle and the Scandinavian inspired Nordic Knit add style and warmth to the range. Lite Felt, a sophisticated fabric made in America from 100% treated wool, is used within the collection making the hats waterproof and durable. As Lite Felt continues to grow in popularity, Kangol has added a feminine interpretation called Swirl Wool, which is created by felting two colours together to produce a dusted blurred finish. Kangol continues to develop earth friendly yarns and introduces 100% recycled Polyester for the Recycled Tropic hat collection. The yarn has the same look and feel as the current Tropic hats, but has an added eco feel good factor. In this group Kangol introduces the 2-Tone 504 style in with a coloured intarsia peak. Kangol has collaborated with headphone company Aerial7 for A/W2011 to develop an ultra slim superior quality Sound Disk that is inserted into specially constructed jacquard earlaps. Hearing is believing! The Sound Disk system incorporates a microphone, which is compatible with mobile devices including the iPhone and Blackberry. Finally, Kangol’s Luxe Collection focuses on quality craftsmanship from America, Italy & England - the birthplace of Kangol. The Made in England collection calls attention to the English Heritage with traditional patterns and shapes whilst the Italian Angle Tweed with leather trim is a modern classic. The Made in America styles are all about premium quality and natural materials with a luxurious feel.
