Kangol A/W2011 collection centralises on innovative techniques whilst utilising traditional craftsmanship and quality materials. The focus of the collection is on natural fibres with an emphasis on wool, starting with classic Kangol knitted felted wool, available in shapes such as the 507 cap & the sleek Duke Trilby, to soft lambs wool jacquards, a pixelated Fairisle & the Scandinavian inspired Nordic Knit. Lite Felt is a sophisticated fabrication made in America from 100 treated wool, making the hats waterproof and durable. Kangol has combined textured spike wool with straw that has been naturally dyed with plant extracts to create the Dapper Felt story. Winter cottons appear with the beautifully constructed Quatro Synth group, a mix of matte & shine panels. The Military Rain coated canvas with super soft brushed flannel lining & subtle styling details provides superior functionality combined with fashionable design. Kangol continues to develop earth friendly yarns with the introduction of 100 recycled Polyester for the timeless Tropic hat collection. The yarn looks & feels the same as the current Tropic hats but with added eco feel good factor. In this group Kangol introduces the 2-Tone 504 with colour intarsia peak. Kangol has collaborated with headphone company Aerial7 who have developed an ultra slim superior quality Sound Disk that is inserted into specially constructed jacquard earlaps. Hearing is believing The Sound Disk system incorporates a microphone, which is compatible with mobile devices such as the iPhone and Blackberry. Finally, Kangols Luxe collection focuses on quality craftsmanship from America, Italy & England, the birthplace of Kangol. The Made in England collection calls attention to the English Heritage with traditional patterns & shapes whilst the Italian Angle Tweed with leather trim is a modern classic. The Made in America styles are all about premium quality natural materials & luxurious feel.
