JanSport, the leading daypack and luggage company, has entered into a supply contract with DSGi, owners and operators of PC World stores in the UK, to supply laptop functional backpacks and messenger packs. JanSport’s range will be stocked in 158 PC World stores throughout the UK & online with immediate effect.

Mirroring the growth in laptop sales in the UK, JanSport itself has developed laptop capable luggage for consumers of all ages. From children’s backpacks, launched in the PC World "Kids Zone", through to sophisticated commuter satchels and travel luggage.

The specific requirements to provide a safe and secure laptop compatible pack, with lifestyle credentials has been accommodated perfectly by JanSport. "This commercial partnership with PC World enables us to utilise a well-known and knowledgeable consumer computing store to help extend our brand message around comfort, functionality and performance," says JanSport’s European Sales & Marketing Director, Duncan Bembridge. "The JanSport range is comprehensive enough to present PC World with an excellent array of product styles, colours & features to suit the tastes and requirements of their broad customer base."

The arrangement extends JanSport’s growing market diversification and development in the last two years, a time that has seen the brand grow exponentially in sales in the UK & Europe. The burgeoning children’s laptop market has been identified by JanSport as an area of massive opportunity for the brand.

JanSport will provide full POS and Merchandising support to PC World stores, as well as quarterly promotions, thus maximising the brands presence in-store and providing PC World with a total breakdown on the benefits of the range.
