It was announced today 5th August that 2008 World Champion triathlete Helen Jenkins and World U23 Champion Hollie Avil will be the first triathletes to join Speedos world-class roster of sponsored athletes which includes some of the world leading swimmers including Rebecca Adlington, Michael Phelps and Liam Tancock.

Speedo, the world’s No 1 swim brand, will be supporting Jenkins and Avil on a wetsuit specific contract that ties in with the launch of Speedos new tri-dedicated TriathELITE collection earlier this year. In addition to this high profile athlete sponsorship, Speedo has announced its participation in a comprehensive triathlon event sponsorship program (over 55 events nationwide) and collaborations with leading triathlon coaches.

2008 World Champion Helen Jenkins made a successful start to the year gaining podium places at her last three races including Des Monies World Cup and the Madrid and London legs of the Dextro Energy World Championship Series Jenkins heads to the London Triathlon in August with first place in sight. Speedo will be looking to see Helen lead out of the water in her Speedo ELITE wetsuit.

U23 World Champion Hollie Avil has made a strong start to her senior career, coming 10th at the European Championships earlier this year. An outstanding junior, with World and European titles to her name, Hollie was one of the youngest (at 18) to compete in Beijing.
